Edwards for VEEP
Looks like John Edwards is being put through the paces for the vice presidential nomination. This is the ticket I'd love to see (far more than the Kerry/McCain ticket that's been been bandied about--one thing to remember about McCain is that is not pro-choice). This MSNBC article notes that a downside to choosing Edwards is his lack of experience at foreign affairs. But I think Kerry is strong at this and doesn't necessarily need this quality in a vice presidential candidate (especially if he surrounds himself with forward-thinking, global-looking advisors and cabinet officers). I think Edwards would really help bring a focus back to the needs of the middle class within our nation, something which the Right can hit Kerry hard on (what with his Brahmin wealth), as well as continued discussion about social and economic justice.
