Hold On Tight
It's 7:30 PDT, and Ned Lamont is holding to a 51.88% lead to Joe Lieberman's 48.12% with 84% of precincts reporting (via RawStory). It's gonna be a white knuckle finish...
[UPDATE - 7:56 PDT] Raw Story has Lamont at 51.65% with 94% of the vote counted. It's looking like he might hold onto win the primary.
[UPDATE - 8:17 PDT] And it's over! Lieberman concedes!!! But a word of warning:
Lieberman conceded the race to Lamont late Tuesday, but vowed to run in the general election in November as an independent. What a power-mongering ass-hat.
In other primary news, Hank Johnson is declaring victory in his Georgia Democratic primary challenge against incumbent Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney. I don't know much about McKinney, but from what I've garnered, she is a distraction that the Democrats don't need.
