Let Your Freak Flag Fly

Checking in over at Eschaton, Atrios is boiling over in anger and letting the F-bombs fly. Here's a sample:

Evil useless fuck Chertoff took time out of his busy schedule promoting national preparednesss month on Fox to say this:
"The critical thing was to get people out of there before the disaster," he said on NBC's Today program. "Some people chose not to obey that order. That was a mistake on their part."
Lots of these people were poor. No cars. No credit cards. Nowhere to go. WHAT THE FUCK WERE THEY SUPPOSED TO DO?

Fucking heartless clueless monsters.

Frankly, I don't disagree. I'm just as angry about President Chimpy's lame-ass response yesterday (view it here at Crooks and Liars). The NYTimes lead editorial rakes him over the coals this morning:

George W. Bush gave one of the worst speeches of his life yesterday, especially given the level of national distress and the need for words of consolation and wisdom. In what seems to be a ritual in this administration, the president appeared a day later than he was needed. He then read an address of a quality more appropriate for an Arbor Day celebration: a long laundry list of pounds of ice, generators and blankets delivered to the stricken Gulf Coast. He advised the public that anybody who wanted to help should send cash, grinned, and promised that everything would work out in the end.

Also, check out this video of CNN's Anderson Cooper (again, via C&L) from outside New Orleans, where he reports there is growing anger on the ground, wondering where in the hell the federal government is.
