What's the Matter with Idaho?

Survey USA came out with their latest presidential approval rating poll of each of the 50 states, and the numbers aren't looking good for BushCo--except in Idaho:

Approve 59%
Disapprove 36%

That's his highest score from all the 50 states. However, that's actually changed from the 62% Approve/34% Disapprove rating he got in early July. Overall, SUSA gives an unweighted 43%/53% (approve/disapprove) average and a 41%/55% weighted average (where each state is weighted proportionally to its share of USA population). Other numbers--only 10 states have a net positive approval rating while 38 states have a net negative rating (with two states, North Carolina and Louisiana, standing firmly on the fence with balanced approve/disapprove ratings). As Salon's War Room notes:

If poll results equaled Electoral College votes, Bush would have about 75 of them right now. It takes 270 to win.

Unfortunately, that's just a little too little, and a little too late.
