Right Wing Smear Machine--Full Throttle Ahead

Boy, it's rare that Sean Hannity is left flabbergasted by a right-wing cohort, but it happened when everybody's favorite White House "plumber", G. Gordon Liddy, called Cindy Sheehan anti-semitic on the Hannity and Tool (sorry, Colmes) show on FawksNews. You can see the video over at Crooks and Liars
(in WMV); here's my transcription of the exchange between Tool (sorry, Colmes) and Liddy:

Colmes: Many people feel the way Cindy Sheehan does.
Liddy: While I think that it's true that there are Americans who feel the way Cindy Sheehan does. Unfortunately, they are Americans who are very anti-Israel and in some ways anti-Semitic. She uses the terms, how the neo-cons are doing this thing. That's code-word for "the Jews in the Pentagon."
Colmes: Are you calling her anti-Semitic?
Liddy: Yes.
[...]
Colmes: Cindy Sheehan's anti-Semitic?
Liddy: Yes.

After this, Hannity is rather speechless and tries to get G. to back down. He doesn't.

News Hounds adds this:

Liddy must have known that's a major distortion. According to KnightRidder Washington Bureau, "A Newsweek poll this month found that only 34 percent of U.S. adults approve of Bush's policy on Iraq, while 61 percent disapproved. A survey last month by the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press found that only 27 percent of respondents believed Bush has a clear plan for success in Iraq." Is Liddy willing to accuse 61% of Americans of being anti-Semitic? I doubt it.
