Tooting My Own Horn (Sort Of)
This past year, I've been volunteering for the West Seattle Garden Tour doing publicity (thanks to a bit of arm-twisting by our pal Keri). It was my first time doing such work, and it was a bit daunting at first. But we've received a lot of good attention from a variety of sources, including an article by local gardening writer celeb Valerie Easton in this Sunday's Seattle Times magazine, Pacific Northwest. (Though, I must confess, I did not have anything to do with procuring this mention--it was another volunteer who got in contact with her.)
