Police Tour Is a Go

From Toronto's Globe and Mail:
The Police, still preparing for their Sunday-night gig at the Grammy Awards, will stay reunited and launch a 30th-anniversary world tour, music-industry publication Billboard reported yesterday. The tour will be announced at a press conference in Los Angeles on Monday, Billboard said.

The band will also celebrate their anniversary at the Whisky A Go Go the day after the Grammys, and 20 lucky contestants will win a spot in the audience. To enter the drawing for a spot, fans must be "legacy members" of Sting's official website, Sting.com. Twenty winners will be notified today.

"After the event, we would like the winners to each submit to us 250 words that describes their experience of the day -- we can say with some certainty that none of you will be lost for words!" the announcement said.
