You'll Be Happy to Know...

...that Chelsea won their English Premier League game against Liverpool (2-0) with goals from defender William Gallas and striker Hernan Crespo (pictured right). This follows Liverpool's defeat of Chelsea to advance to the Champions League final last season and a desultory nil-nil draw earlier this season. While Liverpool are in third behind ManU, they are definitely becoming the team to watch for seasons to come as a challenger to the Chelsea reign.

And, oh yeah, the Seattle Seahawks are playing a big game today as well. I've got a heavy duty bet riding on this one (white chocolate toast spread from Belgium if the 'Hawks win; flavored Seattle coffee sent to Belgium if they lose). This might be hard to believe, but Seattle P-I sportswriter Art Thiel says the Seahawks will win. The NYTimes also has an interesting article about the up-tempo Seahawk offense. This could... dare I say it... actually be an interesting game. I'm just hoping that there isn't a wardrobe malfunction involving Keith Richards and his depends undergarments.
