A Plame by Any Other Name
Legal ways to break the law

A word from the old fogey again. Now that Judy Miller is testifying before the grand jury investigating the leak of covert CIA agent Plame’s identity to the press, it appears that the principal defense argument for White House insiders Rove and Libby is that they did not technically name the agent. I guess the following methods are legal:

1. Just give initials
2. Use pig Latin
3. Point at them
4. Show a photograph
5. Write the name backwards

Saying that Plame was the wife of Wilson to INVESTIGATIVE reporters, when numerous sources clearly identified them as married, reminds me of Clinton’s defense that oral sex is not really the same thing as "sexual relations." Of course, his lie didn't threaten national security.
