Nice Bit of SnarkFrom Joshua Holland over at

| Anyway, the one thing that's been crystal clear about last week's non-response to the suffering in the Gulf Coast is that there was simply too much government. There was too much aid, too much coordination, too many supplies and on and on. I saw it on Fox.
Therefore, I think it's time someone proposes Personal Emergency Accounts. Add it to the whole "ownership society" scheme, along with Personal Retirement Accounts and Personal Health Accounts.
Each worker just has a little withheld from the paycheck each week and placed in an account that they own (no tax dollars wasted on FEMA). Then, by the time the next hurricane (or terror attack or earthquake or tornado) hits, they can build their own levies and hire private security (which is more efficient than government security contractors, AKA police).
It's all about ownership!
Why can't people understand the magic of compounded interest? Why do they hate America? |
