For Those of You in Hawaii

My Mom is the Dean of Saint Andrews, the Episcopal Cathedral of Honolulu, and they're holding a prayer service at the cathedral today at 3PM Hawaiian time (noon Pacific time; other times, you can do the math). They're also putting together a "Jazz night in New Orleans with a meal of gumbo and bananas foster, etc." on the weekend of September 16/17. It’s $25 per ticket, all going to Episcopal Relief and Development. She told me they're hoping to raise a minimum of $12,000 (but are really hoping that's just the start), and that everything is being donated--including food from Sam's Club and AV equipment. If you're a Honolulu resident or will be visiting the area at that time, check it out and give what you can.
