It's Gonna Be a Green Day

Green Day has a new video clip from their recent album, American Idiot--"Wake Me Up When September Ends"--and it's a doozy. Kinda restores my faith in the possibilities of the music video. It starts out with some treacly young romance between Jamie Bell and Evan Rachel Wood (who I hear is quite the budding teen superstart), but it ramps up considerably with scenes of Bell as a US soldier on duty in Iraq. Very worth your time, and not a bad power ballad to boot.
