Breaking News: Bombing in India

From the AP/WaPo:
Two bombs exploded Friday in the town of Malegaon in the western Indian state of Maharashtra, killing 31 people and injuring 125 more, most of them Muslim worshippers leaving a mosque after Friday afternoon prayers. The first bomb went off in a graveyard, and the second in a crowded street a short distance away.

Thousands of people were out on the streets on Friday to mark Shab-e-Barat, also called the night of atonement or forgiveness, a Muslim religious event during which people offer prayers for the souls of dead relatives in graveyards.
This comes just days after Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had warned that more terrorist attacks were likely:
Mr Singh said that that "economic and religious targets", as well as nuclear installations, could be the targets. He said the intelligence agencies have also warned of more suicide attacks.

Mr Singh's comments come nearly two months after a series of bombings on commuter trains in Mumbai (Bombay) which killed over 180 people.

"Concern about the increasing activities of externally-inspired and directed terrorist outfits in the country is justified," Mr Singh told an internal security meeting in the capital, Delhi.
