Underwear Goes Inside the Pants

As many of you might know, I'm a big fan of the BBC Radio 1 weekend show, The Blue Room, which is hosted early on Saturday and Sunday mornings by DJs Rob Da Bank and Chris Coco. It started off a couple years back as primarily chill-out electronica, but it's grown to incorporate a wide range of eclectic pop (from the Magic Numbers and Belle and Sebastian to Franz Ferdinand remixes).

Over the last month, they've been playing the song "Underwear Goes Inside the Pants" by LazyB (formerly Lazyboy--of the album Lazyboy TV--but it seems Rob Da Bank had the Lazyboy name first; hence, the new name change), which samples a US comedian (whose name has slipped by me) complaining about the various and sundry woes that afflict our country, from too many pharmaceuticals (and not enough pot) to obesity t0 poverty (a favorite topic around Cracks). Give it a listen via this handy YouTube video:

And be sure to check out the Blue Room--you can listen to the previous week's shows via the BBC's Listen Again feeature (i.e., Real Audio) for seven days after it's first broadcast.
