Inconvenient Quickie Update
It's sunny here in Seattle, so Mrs. F and I are going to concentrate on yard projects as much as possible (my back willing), thus I'll leave my thoughts on viewing An Inconvenient Truth last night to a little later in the weekend. But I will say that it was awesomely riveting, and something that should be seen by as wide an audience as possible. Speaking of which, here's the Saturday box office update from Box Office Guru:
Popping its head into the top ten while still in limited release was the Al Gore global warming documentary An Inconvenient Truth which grossed an estimated $400,000 after expanding to 77 theaters from just four last weekend. The Paramount Classics title will take in over $1M for the frame with a sizzling per-theater average of more than $15,000.

Major props to our blogger for treating some of us to AIT. I am concerned that people are going to find ways to blow holes all through the proof the movie presents. Even those of us on the side of our man Gore thought his photos could have been easily Photoshopped (or taken in different seasons.) And what about those years he was in office? What was/wasn't he doing about global warming? The movie is going to bring up all kinds of questions--but hallelujah, we'll finally be talking about it in a nation-wide dialogue.
BTW: Bush is pushing for a ban on gay marriage. No surprise, but what, is there NOTHING else going on? Or is this some desperate effort to get some of his supporters back? Sheesh...just when you think the administration can't get any dumber.
