It's a Blue Day

Chelsea 4 - West Ham 1

Despite faltering under some pressure in recent weeks from a surging ManYoo (that would be Manchester United), Chelsea can breathe a sigh of relief after a decisive victory against fellow Londoners West Ham United. Defenders William Gallas and captain John Terry (pictured below) joined in the scoring fun along with forwards Didier Drogba and Hernan Crespo. The big game between ManU and Arsenal is taking place right now, and the Red Devils (that would be ManU) need the win to keep pace. But I'm pretty confident that the mighty Chels have this thing wrapped up. In other news, it's looking more likely that Bayern Munich midfielder Michael Ballack will be joining Chelsea in the off-season.

[UPDATE] Manchester United kept pace with Chelsea with their 2-nil defeat over Arsenal:
The result means Sir Alex Ferguson's team move back to within seven points of Chelsea, who defeated West Ham 4-1 earlier on Sunday.

United have five games left to catch the reigning champions, including a match at Stamford Bridge.

For Arsenal, though, their ninth away defeat in the Premiership this season leaves them five points behind north London rivals Tottenham in the race for fourth place.
