Anybody Got Compact Digicam Suggestions?

Mrs. F and I have a pretty nice Canon Optura video camcorder that also takes 2-megapixel stills (we got lots of great photos from our trip to Paris last year with very good color and depth of detail). But the problem is, it's just too bulky for bringing to any occasion other than a big whoop-de-do. So, we're looking at something nicely pocketable, and it doesn't have to be very high in the megapixels (I'm frankly quite satisfied with 3 MP for our use, which is largely snapshot-ish).

I'm rather smitten with this new 6 MP Casio EX-S600 (and not just cos it comes in orange), but as I've been out of the camera loop for some time (used to be senior editor for the camera store at Amazon a couple years back), I'd be happy to hear some other thoughts before I pull the trigger.
