From ThinkProgress, we learn that "while the Vice President had purchased a valid non-resident hunting license, he had not purchased the required upland game bird stamp." OK, I'm sure Dick will feel a little guilty about the events of the weekend and will be gracious to accept responsibility for this oversight and any slap on the wrist it entails.

What am I thinking? Remember who we're dealing with--the oldest whiney juveniles in the country:

A member of the Vice President’s staff wrote a check for 140 dollars understanding that this would purchase a Texas non-resident season hunting license that would permit the Vice President to hunt quail in Texas…The staff asked for all permits needed, but was not informed of the 7 dollar upland game bird stamp requirement.
