VEAP, VEAP

I wanna give a shout out to VEAP--aka, Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People--a faith-based organization here in Minneapolis that has been a tremendous help in providing transportation to my grandfather for his trips to the dialysis farm, and have been quite organized and courteous and arranging the pick-ups. Here's their mission statement:

We strive to provide financial, emotional, and physical support to low-income individuals and families living in our community. VEAP's programs are designed to meet both the present and projected needs of low-income, elderly, and disabled citizens. We respond to the needs of hunger, poverty, disability, isolation and the ongoing effects of these conditions through our programs: Food, Seasonal, (Back To School, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas) Social Services and Transportation.
