The Road Is Rough, Rough Stuff
My pal Ward Sutton just blew through town for Tuesday and half of Wednesday on his Left Coast book tour supporting his first compilation of cartoons by a major publisher--Sutton Impact : The Political Cartoons of Ward Sutton. It's a great book in vibrant full color, and it includes some of the material he did for the Village Voice when he was covering the Republican convention in NYC last year. Great stuff, funny and sad, and thoroughly inspiring for anyone on the liberal/progressive tip. During his visit, I was chauffeuring him around, and one of our stops was at the local NPR station, KUOW, for the afternoon arts and entertainment show, The Beat. Visit this link, and you'll be able to listen to a Real Audio archive of the show--Ward's segment comes on about 30 minutes into the program.
