Doctor, Doctor, Give Me the News...
Psychic John Edwards (of Crossing Over, not of the Democratic Presidential ticket) believes that Terri Schiavo is "definitely clear on what's happening now around her." Now, that may be the wackiest of the diagnoses/channeling that's been going on this past week, but it's not the first. Senator Bill Frist, MD got into the act earlier this week (via Michael Bassik at Personal Democracy):

Speaking on the Senate floor "more as a physician than as a US senator," Senate Majority Bill Frist, MD, said he believed there was "insufficient information to conclude that Terri Schiavo is in a persistent vegetative state."

The one impressive thing about the "diagnosis" that Frist made on the Senate floor was that it involved -- you guessed it -- technology!

Frist apparently used a digital video of Schiavo to determine that the Florida woman who has been fed artificially since she was brain damaged in 1990 might not be in a vegitative state.

Mr. Bassik has a great idea for a political call to action:

Take a digital picture or video of your medical problem – tennis elbow, acne, runny nose, hemorrhoids, or whatever ails you - and send it to the doctor in charge of the US Senate and your health care.

Everyone, take two minutes and upload your photos to Flickr.com. "Tag" the photo "Frist." If we get critical mass, we'll send everyone's photos to Dean Rosen, the good doctor's Health Care policy director!

I'll update a bit later with my own ailment.
